Well, well, well. It’s been quite a week for Nintendo. After months of radio silence, the Nintendo Switch was unveiled. While I’m still working out the words I want to convey, let’s turn our attention to Fire Emblem. As soon as the presentation was over last Thursday/Friday, the Big-N decided to announce that there will be a Nintendo direct on 18/01/2017 dedicated to their Strategic-RPG, Fire Emblem. Most assumed it would be to talk about either the newly announced Warriors & the up and coming mobile game. We certainly were not expecting this (I really tried not to be too clickbait-y here). Yoshi’s Woolly World was a delight on the Wii U. It wrapped our little green dinosaur into wool and presented the cutest 2D platformer since LittleBigPlanet. It is a charming, and peaceful game that allows players to just enjoy a video game. Since it was released on the Wii U, next to no-one played it which This is a damn shame, but Nintendo are rectifying this with the 3DS release of Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World. I can promise it will be incredible. Continue reading “Look how cute Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World is!”
I’m not one for showing gameplay before a game releases. I am under the assumption there will be a spoiler of some kind that dampens the experience in some way. Well, with Dishonored 2, things are a little different. It doesn’t matter what gameplay is shown, since you can attack the game anyway you like. You don’t have to take the same path, in fact Bethesda encourage you not to do it. Continue reading “A few words on why I’m looking forward to Dishonored 2”
Are you missing that Assassin’s Creed shaped hole in your life? Ubisoft have you covered, and it’s not a swift hidden blade to the chest. While it’s sad that there won’t be a new Creed game this year, fans of jumping from obscene heights into small bales of hay will be satisfied with the abundance of news coming from Ubisoft. Continue reading “No New Assassin’s Creed this year. Ubisoft have you covered”
It’s hard keeping up with the latest video game announcements. It doesn’t help when you are being swamped with updated consoles, Lego bundles or Batman remakes. However, one game that caught my eye is Tank It! A game for both PC and, surprisingly, the Nintendo NX. Continue reading “Tank It! The latest game confirmed for the NX”
Harry Potter fever is setting the world on fire once again. The script of the play is smashing books sales and a new movie is on the way. It seems only right that we revisit the two great Lego video games based on the franchise. That’s why Warner Bros & TT Games have announced the Lego Harry Potter Collection.
Well nobody saw that coming. At Apple’s annual “We’re going to release the next iPhone” conference in New York, the tech giant came up with a massive coop. Head of Apple, Tim Cook, was explaining how iPhone and iPad hold some 500,000 games. There was one person missing. As the projection behind him went black, a familiar coin noise came through the speakers and the Mushroom Kingdom came into view. Super Mario Run is coming to smartphones.
Sony have finally confirmed what the internet has been talking about for the last 6 months. There is officially a PS4 Slim and the PSNeo is now the PlayStation 4 Pro. What’s more, I have the prices, specs and launch dates for you.
Back in May, Warner Bros Games announced that they were bringing the first two Dark Knight stories to “modern consoles”. Batman: Return to Arkham was to launch in July. However, this didn’t happen and everything went quiet. That is until today.
Cast your mind back a few days. You’ll remember I posted about a mysterious clock on the Duke Nukem website. It was counting down to something. That countdown is over and Duke Nukem 3D is being re-released on PC, PlayStation 4 & Xbox One on 11th October. That’s not all.
